There are days where I feel exhausted, like I’m just going through the motions of being alive and being a person.
It can be tempting to stay in that shell-like existence because it’s so easy.
But are you really living if you’re not engaging with life?
Whenever I notice myself falling into that slump, I tell myself to take a moment and recommit to raising my vibration — as difficult as it can be at times.
What does it mean to increase your vibration?
Vibrating at a higher frequency doesn’t mean physically making your body move in an obvious way — though you can definitely dance your way to a higher vibration.
At the core, it’s about focusing attention on the vibrational energy that helps you reconnect with your spirit. We are all made of energy, after all.
Essentially, raising your vibration involves making selfless, positive choices in your life by living through your heart.
Why is this important?
When you’re vibrating high, you feel lighter and full of energy. This can create a substantial shift in your feelings, emotions and even your physical body.
The rare time that I have a migraine, usually from spending too much time doing low-vibrating activities, I sit or lie down and meditate instead of popping pills.
Within a few minutes and some full, deep breaths, the migraine is gone.
How do I increase my vibration?
You can increase your vibration by doing anything from yoga to meditation, eating a nourishing meal, listening to a wellness podcast or even reading a good book.
Here are a few ways to raise your vibration:
- Become conscious of your thoughts.
- Take care of your body.
- Be aware of the foods you eat. Foods with healthy energy and high vibrations include fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, whole grains and seeds.
- Drink water.
- Be grateful.
- Practice acts of kindness and treat others well.
- Spend time in nature and reconnect with the earth.
Everyone is different, so it’s all about figuring out what makes you feel refreshed and alive in your body, mind and soul.
